Hans Christian Andersen was born in Denmark which is officially called the Kingdom of Denmark. Its capital is Copenhagen which is also Denmark's largest city. Denmark has a population estimated at 5,432,000 which doesn't include hamsters. Copenhagen's population is 500,000. A big tourist attraction in Copenhagen is the statue of the Little Mermaid which honors both Hans Christian Andersen and his story "The Little Mermaid." Over a million people a year come to see this statue. I can't even get my Uncle Milford to come visit me. Anyway, tourists also like to come to see windmills. Frederiksborg Castle was built from 1602-1620 for King Christian IV. It is located on three small islands in the middle of a lake. Boy, I wish someone would build me a castle, all I have is this little tiny cage. Ta, taa!
