"The Metamorphosis"
by Franz Kafka

Introduction

"The Metamorphosis" is one of Franz Kafka's (1883-1924) most famous stories. Other stories of his include "The Hunger Artist", "In the Penal Colony" and "A Report to an Academy." His novels include The Trial, The Castle and Amerika. Kafka left instructions that all his writings be destroyed after his death, but his friend, Max Brod, to whom Kafka left them, decided otherwise.
