Charter School Payments
If you are using Educational Units (EU's), Educational Credits (EC's) or some other charter school method to pay for your subscription please visit this page.
If a School/Group Has Paid for Your Access
(For information on how to sign up your school or group click here)
If you are with a group, school or charter school that has already paid for your access register on the next page choosing your own password. After doing so you will be directed to a new page where you will be asked to enter the access code that your group, school or charter school provided you. Enter it and you will be granted full and immediate access.

Cost ($35.00 per year)
Cost for individual, families and household access to Millstone Education's World Literature Site for one year is $35.00 ($40.00 if you send me a check) and is non-refundable. Your year of access begins when your payment is confirmed (This is immediate if you use PayPal, but takes longer if you send me a check). If you are with a group that is paying for your access your year begins for that school year (or the date decided upon by your school or group) and ends at the beginning of the next school year. Computer/Software Requirements
This site should work on all computers and browsers that can currently connect to the internet. The animations, videos and audios will require Flash, which is freely downloadable here

Cookies and Session Cookies
In order to access everything on this site cookies must be enabled in your browser. If you do not currently allow cookies or wish to allow them, please do not sign up for this site because you will not be able to access any of the pages that require paid access.
The only thing I use session cookies for is to allow you access to pages which require paid access. I do not monitor your movements on this site, where you go after visiting this site or where you've come from before visiting this site. See Millstone Education's Privacy Statement here.
If you are concerned about cookies. Here is what Larry Ullman says in his excellent book PHP and MySQL For Dynamic Web Sites:
Think of a cookie like a name tag: you tell the server your name and it gives you a sticker to wear. Then it can know who you are by referring back to that name tag.
. . . a cookie can only be used to store information that the server is given, so it's no less secure than most anything else.
For this site I use SESSION COOKIES which are less intrusive. Most of the information is stored on the server, not your computer, which makes it more secure and usually (depending on your browser) the session cookie is destroyed when you log out or turn off your computer.
